Politics affects every aspect of our lives. It’s time we take a closer look and do something about it. A greater degree of passive resistance is required in defense of social equality for all. Local 235 in support of District Lodge 78 is seeking volunteers like you to commit to this collective action and join the Political Action Committee in hopes of finding solutions that help support working class families. Paul Mitchell (Mitch), Directing Business Representative District 78 passed away March 20, 2013. He was a true leader that led by example and was one of the most “real” individuals you could have had the opportunity of meeting. He embodied and taught us the true meaning of the word solidarity. Paul was a gentle soul who was never too busy to listen, laugh, teach and share. He was one of the hardest working persons we knew that was passionate about the labour movement and people in general. Paul constantly encouraged our participation in the struggle because there was always more to do. Blessed are you Paul, a peacemaker who hungered and thirsted for justice. Your work was not in vain! Paul, you give hope to all who toil! Rest now brother, we who remain will remember and continue the struggle. Local Lodge 235 sends our sincerest condolences to all whose life Paul touched!
On March 20, 2013 our union, The IAMAW lost Brother, Paul Mitchell.
Every day in some small way Memories of you come our way. Though absent, you are always near Still missed, loved and always dear.
When I think of Paul, Cicero comes to mind… “The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living!
Remember Paul, help fill his boots!
